Set-up today, Cooking Tomorrow

Well we were at it again today, teasing the priest, lugging boxes and setting up yard-sale valuables, and teasing the priest.

Seems everything that Linda, wanted to toss, calling it ugly, I liked. To each his own, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. It is said "someone else's junk, is your treasure."

Preparation takes time, and everything must be evaluated, and placed in some sort of arrangement where people can look at a glance to find the items that they are searching for. Everyone has there own system, but what works for us is grouping. That means when you are looking for a book or something relative, it will be all together. This takes organizational skills.

Next, they have got to be in good working order. We literally try them out. If broken or unsafe, the items are tossed.

And pricing, for a quick sale is imperative.

Everything not sold will go either back to the person who donated it, if they so choose to take it home, or off it goes to another charity.

The long 8' tables are placed like ducks in a row, with openings in the center and at exits. This will allow people to walk freely in an open space, allowing for socializing.

Directly off of the kitchen, we will serve lunch on one side, and pastries on the other. Round cafe' style tables will accommodate those who wish to gobble down their goodies with a cup of coffee, before taking some home to their families.
We offer "free" coffee with a lunch or a pastry purchase.

Tomorrow promises to be another doozie of a day, so tonight we will rest. Oh yea, Fr. Peter, sorry we didn't invite you for Chinese today, maybe if your not to busy, next time? Perhaps we can entice you with warm apple pie with french vanilla ice cream instead.

You'll think of something, you always do.
